Who to contact

AutoEvents.ie operates this site. For questions about your data, access, correction or deletion requests, email contact@autoevents.ie. The operator’s legal identity will be confirmed before public launch.

What we collect

If you submit an event, we collect the event details, source link and your email address. Your email is used to check the submission or ask about it; it is kept in a restricted area and is not published. Admin accounts use an email address and authentication session. Hosting and security systems may process technical information such as IP addresses and request logs.

Why and where

We process submissions to review and publish useful event listings and to protect the site from abuse. We use Netlify for hosting and Supabase for event data and admin authentication. Their infrastructure may process data outside Ireland, subject to their applicable safeguards. We do not sell submitter contact details.

Cookies and external content

Admin sign-in uses essential session cookies. Your cookie choice is stored in your browser. If you allow analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits, pages viewed and interactions with event links. Google receives technical information about your browser, device and visit. Analytics cookies can last up to 13 months. Analytics stays off before consent and after rejection; preview and admin pages are excluded. We disable Google signals and advertising personalisation and use no advertising cookies. Google may process analytics data outside Ireland under its applicable safeguards. Withdrawing consent stops analytics and removes its cookies from this browser. Map tiles are requested from OpenStreetMap when you open the map; event images may be loaded from an organiser’s site. Opening an external event or map link takes you to that provider’s site. Use the “Cookie choices” link in the footer to change your preference at any time.

Retention and your rights

Event submissions and source evidence remain while needed for listings, review and duplicate checks. Technical logs are kept under our providers’ retention settings. You can ask us to access, correct or erase personal data where applicable. You may also complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission. We will publish a specific retention schedule and controller details before launch.
